August 16, 2022- A man died following a motorcycle accident early on Tuesday in north Fort Worth. The collision happened at the intersection of Northeast 28th Street and Deen Road around 12:20 a.m. A westbound car was attempting to make a left turn onto Deen Road. Investigators think an eastbound motorcycle was traveling at a “high rate of speed” on 28th Street. The motorcycle struck the back of the turning automobile after its driver “laid the bike down before the intersection,” according to authorities. It is unknown whether the motorcycle rider also collided with the automobile. The driver of the motorcycle passed away at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the responding police officers.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released his identity. The investigation of the motorcycle wreck is still ongoing.
Early morning accidents can happen for a number of reasons. They can be the result of a fatigued driver, driver inattention, road hazards, and even alcohol. The information obtained in an investigation is important for law enforcement purposes, insurance companies, and most importantly victims and their families to help bring closure or for when a civil case is pursued to obtain justice for an injury or loss of a loved one.
